just getting started

i'm just starting this blog to keep everyone up-to-date on happenings here in ATX. being a new yorker in texas is an experience, let me tell you. but so far, so good. i've been here for almost a year and enjoying it all.

so what have i done? well, most of you know, i'm on my second job. and oh my! i'm enjoying this one much more than i did the last. i also bought a house,
so that's taking up most of my time -- decorating, fixing, etc. in the first month i had to call a plumber AND buy a new washing machine. i'm hoping this second month doesn't find me spending quite so much money on those types of things. but i did rip up the floor in the laundry area and put a new one down with only a couple hours worth of work and only spent $10 at home depot -- it's temporary until i have enough money to do all the floors, but it's much nicer and CLEAN! that's all i'll add on the house stuff for now, there's a long list of stuff that needs to be done, and a shorter list of what i have done, but i'll save that for other posts. but keep in mind that there's plenty of room for visitors, so let me know when to pick you up at the airport.

this is a big state, and i haven't even started exploring all of it, but slowly i will. i have found some good hangouts in austin, and meeting new people all the time.
