facts of life

i took the past couple of days off because i was feeling guilty about working from home so much to house-train laila. the first day i had to literally hold myself back from logging on to my computer until after noon. today, i didn't want to turn it on at all. but i'm getting off my point here. i realized that if i didn't have a 9-5 job, the following things would remain true:

1 - the laundry basket would always be full, regardless of doing laundry everyday
2 - the kitchen CAN be clean. it's a proven fact
3 - the vacuum is my friend (although a bit loud), and doesn't mind being run everyday
4 - home-baked sweets are better than the boxed kind (which proves #5 even more)
5 - kelly (on LIVE with Regis and Kelly) would still be skinny, and i could never be that skinny

so i got the house a bit cleaner (still need to mop the kitchen floor). the puppy (laila) is still learning to use the bell to let us know when she wants to go out, but she is learning (that's the key!). oh and i forgot one:

6 - cats will not immediately love puppies regardless of how cute they are

overall it's been a good two days, i'm excited that i still have 3 more days at home, and hope to tackle some yard work.
