things to wish for

i wish i could recycle painters tape. i have used so much of it in this house stuff, that i wish i didn't have to throw it away after peeling it up. alas, not the case, so i'm stuck with buying new rolls all the time. and then i go to home depot or lowes and i find more stuff i *need* -- what's up with that?!

another thing to wish for -- no more close-talkers. i had this work event last week, and had to make nicey (i hate that stuff!) with an exec who happened to be fairly drunk. i ended up backing up each time he got closer and i almost fell over the arm of a chair!

that brings me to another subject...moving to texas from new york, i figured i'd get away from the whole personal-space invasion that happens in new york -- not so! i don't know how many times i have wanted to turn around to the person behind me on line and say, "back up! texas is a big state, plenty of room, so give me some!" of course, me trying to get rid into the laid-back attitude here, i don't say anything, but man, i wish i did!

Oh Mo, you make me laugh and that's a good thing!

Lots of fun with Jim and Jay. Excellent lobster and clams.

And the weather was georgeous - Peter and I walked on the beach - with many other people, but not nearly as many as summer! People are taking their dogs on the beach - guess it's legit after October 1.

Peter cleaned his car and washed it - in preparation for his trip. He leaves next Sunday after church.

I leave October 18th for San Fran. Oct 26 I fly to GA and Nov 1 I fly to St. Louis for another conference. I don't get home until Nov 5. Need a larger suitcase!
